Retail space design is the collective of all design activities in the store environment; ranging from the design of a store exterior or window to the store interior such as lighting, positioning with gondola’s, wall stands and displays, shop-in-shop, the graphic communication and finishing. For this, knowledge is required on what draws attention and is attractive, but also how a customer enters the store (routing), what works well functionally in the store and how one can remain within the budget of the client. In retail design, MARC strives for maximum usage of the elements modularity (if feasible), navigation, product information and experience.
